Superstar judge Baltasar Garzon yesterday returned to his No 5 courtroom in the national Courts building in Madrid, and in a brief statement called for ‘political and media responsibility’ over the announced ceasefire by the Basque terror group Eta.
Judge Garzon will take over the legal duties of Judge Fernando Grande Marleska, whom the Basque Socialist party have qualified as being ‘far too close’ to the ideology of the conservative Partido Popular.
