It would now finally appear that the death knell has sounded for Ferrys the textile company based in Canals as a business court in Valencia has received an official liquidation order for the company. This was finally delivered after a possible investor that could have saved the company, withdrew the offer. The court will now name three administrators and the 300 employees will finally be given their redundancy notices. Currently the working hours are being reduced and on Fridays obligatory training courses are being given for the employees to be qualified enough to seek work in other industries.
Meanwhile another company – Astroc Mediterranean – is in the eye of the storm after its share value dropped 60% in one week. The drop came after an audit revealed that Enrique Bañuelos bough all the company furniture as well as other assets for 150 million Euros.
