The United States is engaging in a strict insect control programme on all the wooden crates used to export Valencian Tiles to the country, it was revealed yesterday by he tile association ASCER. Currently there are about a thousand containers with crates of tiles in Valencia Port waiting to be fumigated prior to being exported, and ASCER yesterday stated that it was alarmed at the financial problems for the tile companies that these delays would cause. Meanwhile companies in the United States are demanding that the Valencian manufacturers ‘give a clear delivery date’ for their products, with financial penalties if these are not respected.Author: Valencia Life
