Valencian Supermarket chain Mercadona is apparently intent on moving its centre of operations to one location: an industrial estate in Albalat dels Sorrels, some fifteen minutes from Valencia City. Sources inside Mercadona have stated that the first part of the move will be the administrative offices of the company that are currently in Tavernes Blanques. Moving the Paterna offices will later follow this. The moves are expected to be finalised in about four years, and will probably offer more jobs locally.
